SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER

We are looking for Senior Software Engineers to join our team in China.

Kongsberg Digital’s Kognitwin® is a powerful digital twin technology that recreates an asset, in a state of constant real-time updates, with contextualized information reflecting the status of the asset. It is a SaaS based offering powered by cloud technologies, with high fidelity browser-based 2D and 3D visualization.

As a Senior Software Engineer at Kongsberg Digital you will be responsible for implementing software to support the business of our customers and partners. You will work within a highly competent agile team, writing the code that will bring our customer’s assets and facilities to life on Kognitwin® platform. You will be involved in continuously implementing, deploying, and driving new features as well as securing customer feedback. 

This is what you will do:
    • Understanding and analyzing project requirements and translating it into specifications and programming deliverables.
    • Working closely with analysts, designers, product managers and clients to develop new product as well as to enhance existing applications.
    • Developing, testing and debugging the product in controlled and real situations.
    • Continuously learning and improving software development skills.
    • Producing well-organized, optimized, and documented source code.
    • Some domestic and international travelling must be expected.
 
What skills do you need to have:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.

  • Hands-on full stack experience using Html5, CSS3, TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frameworks (Angular, React or Vue).

  • Proficient in Python/Java development language, OO and micro service architecture.

  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, deployment environments.

  • Experience with databases (MySQL, SQLServer, MongoDB, InfluxDB or Redis).

  • 6+ years in the IT industry.

  • AI technical framework (TensorFlow, etc.) experience is a plus.

  • Cloud development experience is a plus.

  • Docker, Kubernetes experience is a plus.

  • Experience with digitalization of the engineering industry is a plus.

  • Native in Mandarin; excellent written and verbal skills in English.

  • This position is in Beijing, China. The candidate must be able to work locally in China.
