Kongsberg Digital is now looking for talented Process and Automation Engineers for its Digital Energy division in China. You will work closely with our software development team, project managers, technical advisors, partners and customers to deliver best in-class solutions for Digital Energy operations in multiple locations across the world. Some of the main responsibilities of a Process and Automation Engineer are:
travel to customer locations (i.e. customer offices, land facilities, offshore facilities, etc) to deploy and configure our software solutions
give training courses
provide consultancy services
act as an interface between KDI and the customer
work closely with the sales team in China and Global – preparing and presenting technical proposals
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) discipline.
Master’s degree is preferred, but Bachelor degree may be considered with relevant experience.
Knowledge and experience related to IT/Networking.
Knowledge and experience of oil & gas process, process control, flow assurance and production operations.
IT certifications, preferably Windows Server system administration, Cloud systems, networking.
Proven technical support experience is an advantage.
Offshore safety certificates is an advantage.
Understanding of software development methodologies is an advantage.
Native in Mandarin language; Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
This position is in Beijing, China. The candidate must be able to work locally in China.
2-3 years of experience, preferably in the upstream oil & gas industry.
1-2 years of experience with IT Support/Network/Windows servers.
Experience related to main DCS systems configuration and commissioning is an advantage.
Good general knowledge of hardware, software and IT.
